Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2002 OR Master’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2016 OR Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy;
Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy or eligible for licensure
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of experience in Physical Therapy
OCS, CSCS, DN Certified
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Provides evidence based quality patient treatments established by the Physical Therapist and monitors patient for physiological status during sessions. Provides individualized patient education.
Prepares and operates physical therapy equipment, including sanitizing, sterilizing and/or disinfecting equipment.
Documents treatment sessions/education sessions and submits accurate charges according to regulatory policies.
Consults with the physical therapist on status changes for patients, revisions of goals, and/or recommendations for change in treatment plan.
Provides education regarding physical therapy discipline, including serving as a clinical instructor and/or providing education to other disciplines within UAMS and/or the community.
Participates in multidisciplinary and department communication, including patient care discussions and/or meetings and unit/department/hospital meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
