Responsibilities:
Plans, coordinates and integrates PSYOP activities in support of operational and strategic objectives, aligning influence efforts with commander intent and campaign goals.
Develops and refining PSYOP concepts and messaging using academic research, behavioral science, and audience analysis to improve credibility and effectiveness.
Coordinates PSYOP planning with interagency partners, allies, coalition forces, host-nation stakeholders, academia, media partners, and commercial vendors
Integrates PSYOP with broader OIE, cyber, information, and non-kinetic effects, ensuring synchronized influence outcomes across domains.
Supports media campaign planning and execution by aligning PSYOP messaging, dissemination methods, and targeting audience with approved media and strategic communication efforts.
Leverages government and commercial analytic platforms, including Maven Smart System and C2IE, to support PSYOP planning, targeting, and assessment.
Supports assessment by defining influence indicators, evaluating audience response, and informing refinement of PSYOP plans and messaging.
Advises planners and senior leaders on PSYOP risks, opportunities, and second- and third-order effects, ensuring activities remain culturally appropriate, legally compliant, and operationally sound.
Conducts executive/senior level briefings to GO/FO/SES decision makers to advise, familiarize and/or gain approval of recommended concepts, plans, operations, guidance, and/or policies.
Leverages PSYOP doctrinal, planning, and execution expertise to Ensure Target A
Qualifications:
Required:
Must be a graduate of the US Army Psychological Operations Qualification Course
3 years’ experience planning, coordinating, synchronizing and/or executing Psychological Operations (PSYOP)
5 years demonstrated experience in military planning processes including Joint Planning Process (JPP), military decision-making process, joint targeting process, and/or military campaign planning
Active TS clearance and SCI eligible
Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in a relevant field such as Strategic Communications, International Relations, Political Science, Behavioral Science, or Military Science or another applicable field
Demonstrated experience briefing PSYOP concepts to executive/senior-level (GO/FO/SES) decision makers
Proficient in standard military software applications and communication systems
Desired:
Completion of advanced OIE-relevant training such as FA30 Information Operations Qualification Course, Army IO Planner's Course, Joint Information Planners Course (JIPC (formerly JIOPC)), OPSEC Planners Course, MILDEC Planners Course, Joint Targeting School
3 years’ experience with military planning at the operational level, to include experience at CCMD, Service Component Command, and/or Joint Task Force level.
Experience coordinating and synchronizing military operations with multinational and/or interagency teammates.
