Job Description:

Coordinator Laboratory Office

Coordinates day to day clerical activities in the Lab office and oversees tasks to insure completion

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
  • Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
  • Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public
  • Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision
  • Displays high attention to critical details and accuracy
  • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
  • Demonstrates a general knowledge and proficiency in compliance laws, phlebotomy, medical laboratory terminology, and safety precautions
  • Must have legible handwriting
  • Working knowledge of, but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel software

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • One (1) year experience in phlebotomy preferred
  • Breathe Alcohol Technician Trainer training, or obtain within six months
  • Drug Test Collector (urine) Trainer training, or obtain within six months

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone
