Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile /DevOps practices.

  • Ensure the systems design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practices and coding/quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes.

  • Perform multiple software implementations and develop both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies.

  • Design, develop, and be accountable for feature delivery.

  • Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality.

  • Ensure solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.

  • Coordinate competing priorities and drive teamwork.

  • Work in diverse team environments that are local and remote.

  • Design and develop solution architectures to scale backend systems using Scala, Java, Spring Boot, and rest specifications.

  • Utilize full stack engineering, Linux, coding, and debugging.

  • Design and develop production ready software using web, cloud, and distributed technologies including Apache Spark, Hadoop, Microservices, and CI/CD cloud deployment.

  • Design and develop new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with cutting edge technologies including Elasticsearch, Redis, and Kafka.

  • Utilize data loading tools including Scoop, Flume, and Knowledge of workflow/schedulers including Oozie and Autosys.

  • Work on multi-threading and concurrency concept and loading data from disparate data source sets.

  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience  

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related; and

  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.

  • Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Designing and developing solution architectures to scale backend systems using Scala, Java, Spring Boot, and rest specifications;

  • Utilizing full stack engineering, Linux, coding, and debugging;

  • Designing and developing production ready software using web, cloud, and distributed technologies including Apache Spark, Hadoop, Microservices, and CI/CD cloud deployment;
