We are now looking for a Firmware Engineer - New College Grad!

We are now seeking a Firmware Engineer to support the development of a crucial GPU firmware. In this role, you will be a key member of a team of innovators, challenging the status quo and pushing beyond boundaries. You will have the opportunity to impact the industry's leading GPUs impacting product lines ranging from consumer graphics to self-driving cars and the growing field of artificial intelligence.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support development of (bare metal) firmware run on embedded microcontrollers within NVIDIA GPUs.

  • Collaborate with the hardware and software teams to architect new features and guide future development.

  • Optimize software to improve system robustness, performance and security.

  • Participate in testing new and existing firmware.

  • Perform system bring-up, debug, and validation.

  • Ensure compliance to functional safety standards (ISO 26262 and ASPICE). This includes defining requirements, architecture and design with end-to-end traceability, performing safety analyses - FMEA/DFA/FTA and ensuring code compliance to MISRA and Cert-C standards.

What we need to see:

  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Software engineering background with experience in embedded software development

  • Proficiency in C/C++

  • Understanding of the software development life-cycle, from requirements to testing closure and maintenance

  • Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessors, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, DMA, etc).

  • Background with general HW concepts

  • Strong debugging and analytical skills

The base salary range is 104,000 USD - 189,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
