Summary

For the Commercial Operations department in Coimbatore, we are looking for an enthusiastic candidate for the position of Sales Support Representative (Pump Spare Parts).

You are part of an international team, working for APAC team.

In this role you are responsible for determining the cost and sales price for pump parts. You use your technical knowledge and insight for this. In this role you work together with various departments within Flowserve APAC or our other locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the quotation request in our quotation system.

  • Quote for Pump AM requests like spare parts, SPIR and upgrades.

  • Collecting and assessing the technical specifications (drawings, material specifications, history, etc.).

  • Prepare proposals in a fast-paced environment, owning pricing components and technical review

  • Manage multiple concurrent proposals throughout the entire bid cycle, from opportunity inception through fulfillment kickoff

  • If more information is required, answer questions from the sales department and/or customer.

  • Determining the cost and sales price. Supporting various internal systems, your technical knowledge and insight, and quotations from suppliers.

  • If necessary, investigating an alternative in collaboration with other departments. • Collaborating with other departments, such as the sales department, engineering department and planning department.

  • Answering incoming questions or ensuring that these are passed on to the right people within our organization.

  • Interact with customers / Sales / Opera ons on technical issues and a end queries.

  • Achieve On-time performance for Proposal submission

  • Ensure SAP approval before Order receipt

  • Ensure compliance to update proposal log on a timely basis.

  • Adhere to Flowserve Values, Business Ethics & Code of Conduct.

  • Support off-site customer project presentations and kickoff meetings

  • Follow all current procedures and policies related to the order acquisition process and provide feedback on the process

  • Perform technical reviews of all customer inquiry related documents while addressing all relevant commercial constraints for the project

Requirement:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical with 1-2 year in Commercial operation or Internal experience as a Quoting Resource with an industrial equipment manufacturer (preferable in Pumps & Valves background) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of centrifugal pumps and/or rotating equipment, material specifications, metallurgy, inventory control, estimating knowledge and a general understanding of the sales cycle is a plus.

  • Deep knowledge of main IT application tools, proficiency in MS Office packages (Excel, Power Point) & ERP is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Japanese speaking candidates is additional preference.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently and be a Team Player with an international mindset and approach.

  • Ability to multitask efficiently and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
