The Opportunity:

CACI’s growing Agile Digital Solutions Operating Group is searching for an experienced Systems Administrator supporting the modernization and sustainment of a large portfolio of enterprise business solutions used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The candidate will be part of a team where complex problem solving, and communication skills are critical to success.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting variety of assignments associated with monitoring and controlling computer operating systems and networks.

  • Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning.

  • Sets up and maintains systems such as Open VMS Systems/DSM environments, UNIX systems (SCO and SUN), and Windows systems.

  • Analyzes system faults and troubleshoots and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems.

  • Evaluates and installs developed software during various phases of testing. Reviews and prepares documentation for systems, tests and installation of software.

  • Initiates preventive maintenance on the operating systems as well as repair to system/environment problems.

  • Administers systems/environment solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules. Interfaces with vendors for trouble calls.

  • Supports the planning of system/environment requirements for individual projects. 

  • May provide work direction and guidance to others. 

  • Experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users.

 

Successful candidates for this role must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner.  Will also be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. 

Qualifications:
Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience employing automation using solutions such as Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch files 

  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM 

  • Experience in installing/configuring Operating Systems and providing admin support 

  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs  

  • Experience working with Virtual Machines (e.g. VmWare ESXi environments) 

  • Experience with managing network storage (SAN/NAS) 

  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions & storage performance turning 

  • Understanding of container concepts 

  • Advocate for ‘Security first’ 


Desired:

  • Prior experience supporting NASA programs

  • ITIL certification 

  • SAFe Team certification

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)

  • Cloud SysAdmin certification (AWS or Azure)

  • Experience in RedHat and OpenShift

  • Experience in Cloud based computing and managing compute assets in the cloud environment (AWS or Azure)

  • Experience in DevSecOps environment

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100-$172,400
