Schedule: Monday - Friday.  8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. No on call.

As a Chaplain, the work you do every day makes a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients. Our team provides one of the greatest gifts—helping patients spend enhanced quality time with their loved ones in the environment they prefer.

In this role, you will provide spiritual care services to hospice patients and their families/caregivers, either directly or through coordination with other spiritual counselors. You’ll be a key member of an interdisciplinary team focused on compassionate, high‑quality care.

How You’ll Work

You will provide direct spiritual care to patients, families, and caregivers throughout their hospice journey.

Major Areas of Responsibility


Spiritual Care
Conduct spiritual assessments for patients and families/caregivers.
Ensure timely delivery of appropriate spiritual services.
Contribute to interdisciplinary group (IDG) plans of care to address identified spiritual needs.


Administrative
Maintain accurate records of all spiritual care services and related activities for quality assurance and program development.
Document direct services and ongoing communication with community chaplains and spiritual counselors.


Customer Care
Provide funeral or memorial services upon request.
Coordinate periodic memorial services to support personnel, volunteers, and community clergy/spiritual counselors involved with hospice care.


Teamwork
Offer consultation, education, and support to the interdisciplinary group regarding spiritual care.
Assist in supervising spiritual care volunteers assigned to patients and families/caregivers.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, MDiv, or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience working with death, dying, and grief support
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the hospice philosophy of care
  • Hospice experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Ability to meet all physical demands of the role
