A CAreer with point72’s Asia trading TEAM

The Asia Trading Desk is responsible for providing best execution of asset classes – mainly equities, futures, and FX – across all major Asian markets for our long/short investment teams globally.

 

What you’ll do

• Execute trades for Asia based portfolio managers through broker sponsored algorithms, broker cash desks, dark pool, and DMA facilities
• Monitor price movements, volume, and trading flows for stocks in the portfolios
• Maintain strong broker relationships
• Book trades and monitor portfolios for accuracy, ensuring timely and precise trade capture and reconciliation
• Liaise with trading assistants, Operations, Compliance and Risk to resolve any issues, escalating proactively where needed

 

What’s REQUIRED

• 3-5 years of experience working as an equities trader with a deep understanding of equities trading
• Understanding of broker-sponsored algorithms, broker cash desks, dark pools, and DMA facilities is advantageous
• Knowledge of the structure of the major Asian equity markets
• Fluency with trading technology, execution management systems, and order management systems
• Strong analytical skills and very detail oriented
• Degree in finance, math, engineering, or related field
• Clear and articulate verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to work cooperatively with all levels of employees
