Vantor is seeking a Director, Corporate Attorney to join our Legal team. In this role, you will work on complex and high-impact legal matters, partnering closely with business leaders to provide pragmatic, creative, and business-focused legal guidance. You bring deep experience in commercial and government contracting, intellectual property, and technology transactions, and you thrive in solving challenging problems with innovative solutions.

This position can be based in Westminster, CO, or Herndon, VA, and requires in-office attendance three days per week, with additional days as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with enterprise customers and vendors.

  • Review, draft, and negotiate U.S. Government contracts and subcontracts.

  • Draft and negotiate imagery, software, licensing, and other intellectual property agreements.

  • Advise Product teams on new product rollouts and support third-party distribution and partner agreements.

  • Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and the implementation of CLM and AI-enabled contracting tools within the Legal department and across the company.

  • Provide clear, practical legal advice to cross-functional teams, including Sales, Procurement, Product, Marketing, IT, and Communications.

  • Manage agreements and disputes in alignment with company policies, risk tolerance, and business objectives.

  • Advise business leaders, Finance, and other stakeholders on legal risks, approval processes, company policies, intellectual property matters, and overall business strategy.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Ability to obtain security clearance from the U.S. Government

  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing, or otherwise authorized to practice law in Colorado or Virginia.

  • Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, with a focus on commercial contracts, government contracts, intellectual property, business development, and technology transactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Holds an active Secret security clearance from the U.S. Government

  • Extensive experience drafting and negotiating services agreements, sales agreements, licenses, and intellectual property agreements.

  • Experience negotiating government contracts and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

  • Experience leveraging contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools, including AI-enabled solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse portfolio of matters under tight timelines.

  • Proven collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams.

  • Combination of law firm and in-house transactional experience.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Professional, positive, and solutions-oriented approach to daily business.

Pay Transparency: In support of pay transparency at Vantor, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings.  The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

● The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $164,000.00 - $273,000.00 annually.

 

● The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $180,000.00 - $300,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
