  • Assess, design and implement end-to-end system interface solutions between SAP and non-SAP platforms, ensuring documentation as well as alignment with business and technical architecture.
  • Define, standardize and validate interface designs, including data flows, mappings, and technical approaches.
  • Ensure and enforce compliance of all interfaces with IT standards for performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
  • Assess, challenge, and approve interface designs proposed by vendors or internal teams, providing architectural direction and corrective guidance when required.

Techno-Functional Analysis

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to understand functional requirements impacting system interfaces.
  • Translate functional needs into clear technical interface specifications.
  • Act as the primary techno-functional counterpart for interface-related topics.
  • Validate assumptions, dependencies, data requirements, and constraints related to interfaces.

Interface Lifecycle Monitoring & Coordination

  • Coordinate, monitor and provide oversight for interface-related activities across the full lifecycle:
  • Design
  • Build
  • Testing (SIT / UAT support)
  • Deployment
  • Hypercare and stabilization

  • Ensure interfaces are properly documented, tested, and handed over to support teams.
  • Support analysis and resolution of interface-related issues, including coordination with vendors and internal IT teams, during and after go-live.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary IT point of contact for interface-related topics with vendors and system integrators.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams, including applications, infrastructure, and security.
  • Communicate technical interface concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Quality, Risk & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify technical and functional risks related to system interfaces.
  • Support definition of mitigation actions and validation criteria.
  • Promote standardization, reuse, and continuous improvement of interface practices.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT interface best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Solid knowledge of APIs, web services (REST / SOAP), and data integrations.
  • Experience integrating heterogeneous systems (ERP, planning, workforce, POS, finance, legacy).
  • Strong understanding of data concepts, including master and transactional data.
  • Ability to review and validate technical designs without being a hands-on developer.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex interface and data flow issues.

Analytical & Functional Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with a techno-functional mindset.
  • Ability to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical interface solutions.
  • Experience working as an IT-facing Business Analyst or IT Analyst for interface-related topics.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business, IT, and vendors.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Assertiveness to challenge assumptions and technical designs when required.

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience working with enterprise IT systems and multiple applications, including complex system-to-system interactions.
  • Experience working with vendors and external partners in the design, delivery, and support of IT interfaces.
  • Experience supporting analysis and resolution of interface-related issues, including participation in root cause analysis activities.
  • Experience working with ERPs and enterprise platforms, including but not limited to SAP R/3, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, POS systems, electronic invoicing platforms, and other business-critical systems.
