Position Summary 
 
Responsible for developing and delivering one or more end-to-end services for specified IT functions and/or business units (BU). Drives overall IT planning efforts; ensures alignment with enterprise IT strategy and standards. Manages IT portfolio, in collaboration with other IT and business leaders. Responsible for IT financial budgets including capital, O&M, in servicing and value realization. Directs strategic application, infrastructure, and/or network development, support, maintenance, operations for all delivery functions. Develops and coaches’ teams. 
 
Essential Responsibilities 

  • Relationship Management: Build strong effective partnerships with internal and external teams; Strong executive presence; able to influence and navigate complex and competing interest of multiple stakeholders. 

  • Strategy and Planning: Develop and manage strategic technology plans and roadmaps; Collaborate with IT and business leaders to build and develop the long and mid-term strategic plans to enable business objectives; Drive process improvements and IT service optimization. 

  • Operational / Delivery Management: Manages identification, investigation and solving production problems, including preventative measures and appropriate communication to clients regarding resolution; has general understanding of the business operations; drives ongoing improvements in IT performance. 

  • Portfolio Management: Management of the investments, projects and activities within a IT portfolio Manage objectives, priorities, delivery and financials 

  • Talent Development: Develop a high performing team by building skills through coaching, mentoring and ongoing training and development; Creates an environment of continuous learning and growth development. 

  • Financial Management: Manages financial budgets: capital, expense and in servicing; Manages regulatory commitments as appropriate; Effectively prioritizes financial spend based on strategic company objectives; Ensure financial prudency on behalf of customers and shareholders. 

 
Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT or related field or equivalent experience; Sound understanding of core business processes, industry trends, technology, and IT environments. 

  • Ten years of IT experience and/or integrated utility and regulatory business. Experience building and developing teams. 

  • Exceptional relationship management and communications skills. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Strategic Planning & Execution:10+ years demonstrable experience in developing and executing strategic technology roadmaps, with a focus on resilience and operational excellence / efficiencies. 

  • Utility Industry Experience: 10+ years’ experience in IT and OT, preferably within an integrated utility and regulatory business environment, showcasing a sound understanding of core business processes and IT ecosystems. 

  • Operational Technology: 10+ years’ experience with Operational Technology (OT) and demonstrable experience navigating the differences between the OT and IT technical eco-systems. 

  • Regulatory: 5+ years experience with fulfilling regulatory compliance requirements such as those from NERC/CIP, PHMSA and TSA. 

  • SCADA: 5+ years working with Scada systems, protocols, data, network, support and operating challenges. 

  • Quality Control: Demonstrated experience providing and deploying high quality infrastructure/network OT and IT solutions. This includes the process, people, tools and architecture to leverage a non-product ecosystem to validate proposed production changes. 

  • Management: 12+ Years experience leading a team of network and infrastructure architects in both the IT and OT space. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional ability to build rapport with key stakeholders and leaders, advocating for the execution of the strategic roadmap and ensuring alignment with direction. 

  • Business Acumen: Strong capability in constructing business cases that clearly articulate the objective value measurements of infrastructure enhancements. 

  • Value-Lead Orientation: A proven commitment to driving initiatives and technology solutions that deliver measurable business value, with an emphasis on cost-effectiveness and return on investment.  

  • Operationalization Expertise: Skilled in the operationalization of technology, ensuring that new technologies are seamlessly integrated into existing systems and processes for maximum efficiency and impact. 

  • Innovative Technology: Demonstrated experience with cutting-edge technologies such as containerization and observability, with a clear understanding of their impact on business strategy. Examples of innovative solutions or programs initiated, championed, or implemented a plus.  

  • Leadership: A history of leading high-performing teams with a player/coach mentality, emphasizing empowerment and team development.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $122,000.00 to $173,900.00 per year
