We are looking for a Mechanic Millwright to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.

Shifts: 1st Shift: 7:30 am to 3:30 pm or 2nd Shift: 3:30 pm to 11:30 am or 3rd shift: 11:30 pm to 7:30 am

Your Challenge:

  • Install, move, reconstruct, repair and rebuild machines and major site equipment requiring planning and improvisation of methods. 

  • This includes day-to-day repair, modification and/or replacement of Test Loops. 

  • PM work includes laser alignment. 

  • Machine repair parts as required.

  • Mechanic’s hand tools, portable power tools, material handling equipment, pneumatic winches, hammer drills, large power hoists, ladders, scaffolds, cable slings, precision levels, laser transit, monitoring equipment including instrumentation, and pressure gauges. 

  • Operate a lathe and milling machine, and required machinist equipment. Use department communication devices.

  • All types of machine tools, such as, but not limited to conventional equipment, numerical-controlled equipment, boilers, pumps, and all types of raw materials, i.e., structural steel material, bar and flat sock, soldering and other metal joining materials.

What You Bring:

  • High School graduate plus completion of a four-year Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship or a two-year Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology

  • Four years’ experience working in the Mechanic Millwright repair field.  Prior machining experience, such as lathe, milling machine, boring mill, etc. 

  • Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
