Execute and audit inventory counts, research, and perform root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Resolve material shortages/overages through daily cycle count reports

  • Help monitor expired material

  • Inspect and disposition material per SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)

  • Perform root cause analysis, make recommendations, and document non-conforming material

  • Perform physical movement of material from one area to another using handcarts and forklifts.

  • Insure movement of materials are transacted in the material management system

  • Insure all inventory transactions are performed in the material management system after prior authorization from Supervisor

  • Process material against purchase/work orders using electronic material management system

  • Coordinate with on-site and/or off-site warehousing facilities for parts replenishment and material storage

  • Work with appropriate logistics and production personnel to resolve/prevent part shortages

  • Maintain/review critical documentation necessary for recording, allocating and dispersing a variety of regulated material

  • Perform counts and physical inventory per schedule

  • Report and assist supervisor in the reconciliation of inventory discrepancies

  • May assist in the training of new hires

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

 

Quality Expectations:

Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and support corrective action

 

Required Qualifications

  • High school Diploma/GED

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain

  • Proficient in basic mathematics

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control

  • Ability to communicate well and work with others

  • Knowledge of root cause analysis methods

  • Knowledge and use of weight scales

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple work tasks

  • Certified Forklift Driver

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
