The Corporate practice offers unique blend of particular specialisation across a range of key sectors including financial services, IERP (Infrastructure, Energy, Resources, and Projects), and life sciences.

We are looking for a full-time paralegal to join our M&A team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate's primary role will work under the direct supervision of senior lawyers to support the team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide paralegal support to members of the M&A team.
  • Advise clients on international standards and legal matters related to new investment projects, joint ventures, and M&A.
  • Draft, review, and translate documents in English, Chinese, and occasionally French.
  • Conduct legal research, preliminary due diligence, and document review across various jurisdictions.
  • Manage clients' transactions and ongoing legal requirements proactively.
  • Coordinate with third parties, including bidding agencies, certification agents, government offices, and external service providers.
  • Participate in business development activities, such as writing articles, conducting seminars, preparing know-how materials and legal updates
  • Perform additional duties as appropriate.

Skills and Experience

  • Business-level command (written and speaking) in English and Mandarin a must. Fluency in French is a bonus.
  • A law degree from any jurisdiction
  • Prior experience working at an international law firm or within an in-house legal team advantageous
  • Strong resilience and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to learn, flexibility, and the ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Exceptional research skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must.
