Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Senior Team Lead – Transaction Monitoring to join our ever-evolving Payrix for Platforms Transactions Monitoring team and help us unleash the potential of every business.
What you’ll own as the Senior Team Lead, Transaction Monitoring
Own the architecture, delivery, and technical strategy for scalable Transaction Monitoring services, APIs, and UI components.
Lead the development of high‑throughput real‑time and batch processing capabilities for fraud and AML detection.
Lead and develop a globally distributed engineering team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and resource planning.
Manage to a budget and optimize cloud and operational costs.
Partner with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Data Science to define and deliver roadmap priorities.
Oversee the full SDLC and ensure strong engineering practices including CI/CD, secure coding, automated testing, and operational excellence.
Own Change Advisory Board (CAB) responsibilities, representing team changes for review and approval.
Lead resolution of critical production issues and drive root‑cause prevention across the platform.
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
12+ years of software engineering experience and 5+ years of engineering leadership experience.
Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and Angular and/or React.
Proficiency or exposure to PHP and C#.
Cloud-native engineering experience with AWS, including serverless, Docker/Kubernetes, and API Gateway.
Experience with event-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, ActiveMQ, etc.) and distributed systems.
Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Git workflows, and infrastructure automation.
Experience working within Agile frameworks and using Jira.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
It’s a bonus if you have
Experience building Transaction Monitoring, AML, fraud, or risk systems.
Background in FinTech, financial services, or payments.
Experience integrating rules engines or ML models into detection workflows.
Relevant professional certifications related to cloud, security, engineering, or Agile leadership.
