Premier HealthCare provides medical, dental, and psychiatric services to everyone and specializes in supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Premier’s clinics offer people with I/DD access to high-quality primary care and specialty outpatient services with doctors and other professionals trained in their unique needs.

The position provides the opportunity to gain exposure and experience working (with/in) a medical records department in an article 16 clinical setting. The students can expect to do work such as working with patient’s information; assisting with medical records archiving project. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their knowledge and experience with medical information and technology along with HIPAA and compliance laws.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Education and Experience Required:
• Prior experience working for an office/ clinical office setting preferred
• Any classes pertaining to health information management preferred

SUPERVISION:
The intern's schedule will match with the days and times supervisors are on site. Students will complete training in their respective tasks while being
observed along the way. Interns will be supervised by the clinics Assistant Supervisor, Office Manager, and Medical receptionist. All will remain available and approachable to students for questions and guidance.

WORK SCHEDULE:
A schedule will be worked out between the student and position supervisor, however day/hours worked will need to be between Monday and Friday and
between 8:30am and 5:00pm.
