Role purpose:

Flutter Technology are recruiting a Cloud Training Advocate to empower individuals and the business to effectively utilise cloud technologies by promoting and delivering accessible and impactful cloud training opportunities. They bridge the gap between technology and education, fostering skills development, advocating for cloud learning, and enabling participants to achieve certifications, enhance their expertise, and drive innovation.

By fostering education and skill development, the advocate ensures our business can harness the full potential of cloud technologies, driving innovation and growth.

To achieve our strategic goal of Cloud first, CloudU’s mission, in collaboration with other divisions, is to empower and equipe our people with the relevant knowledge and skills required to support this strategy. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to build CloudU’s future roadmap, upskill the organisation, enhance the learning, development and careers of its people and facilitate Flutter’s journey into Cloud.

The right candidate will have experience working with enterprise organisations developing, facilitating & managing Cloud learning programmes.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a champion for cloud learning, encouraging adoption of training programs
  • Lead and support Flutter Functions’ CloudU Champions
  • Collaborate with AWS and other Flutter divisions to maximise learning opportunities
  • Develop communication and marketing strategies to promote training resources, certifications, and workshops
  • Solicit feedback from learners to improve training programmes and delivery methods
  • Develop & enhance training & development content to support our learners
  • Plan, manage & coordinate learning events
  • Help develop, manage & deliver our CloudU roadmap

Competencies:

  • Technical expertise: Knowledge of AWS cloud, its training products & delivery methods
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advocacy: A passion for technology education and the ability to inspire others
  • Analytical Skills:  Proficient in using analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement
  • Empathy: Understanding the challenges and goals of learners to support their development
  • Planning: Combination of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills that enable you to set clear objectives & develop effective strategies
  • Resource Management: Allocating resources such as trainers, venues, tools, and materials efficiently
  • Influencing Skills: Gaining buy-in from leadership and other teams for training initiatives
  • Training Tools and Systems: Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and tools such as Moodle

Experience:

  • Experience in cloud computing training/education roles
  • Knowledge of AWS’s training & certification paths
  • Education advocacy and community engagement
  • Working with Enterprise level technology organisations
  • Experience creating technical training support materials & content
  • Familiarity with instructional design methodologies and creating tailored learning paths for various skill levels
  • Experience speaking at events, webinars, or meetups
  • Involvement in user groups, forums, or cloud communities
