GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:   

The Reporting Analyst I role is critical in ensuring the secure and compliant sharing of data with third parties outside our organization. The Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and processing requests for data sharing, conducting due diligence on data recipients, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. The role will identify and resolve systemic issues and provide UAT testing. Role will provide guidance for new team members and act as a liaison with IT. Experience with the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) data sharing framework is highly preferred.

**Position sits in Des Moines and will work an onsite schedule**

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Leverage DTCC, and other industry standards to facilitate data sharing and collaborate with third-party representatives to resolve any data sharing issues.
  • Investigate and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to data sharing requests or agreements.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, risk management, and IT teams as needed to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of data sharing errors or incidents to identify and address underlying problems (e.g., data quality issues, regulatory changes).
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions to minimize the occurrence of future errors.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and adjust as needed.
  • Act as a liaison with IT to prioritize fixes and new requests.
  • Provide guidance to new team members.
  • Conduct UAT testing to ensure accuracy of new/updated feeds.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Insurance, Finance, Law, Computer Science, Information Systems) or appliable relevant experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience with the DTCC data sharing framework.
  • Experience with data management platforms and tools used in the annuity industry.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying and mitigating risks associated with data sharing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Naturally curious with the ability to drive business decisions and solutions
  • Proactive self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage priorities through effective time management skills
  • Strong execution background with the ability to prioritize solutions for business needs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to draft and deliver executive summaries and respond to questions.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions demonstrating both strong analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to successfully handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
