Job Description
SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE: This position will play a critical role in supporting the strategic initiatives, analytic decision making and operational efficiency of the organization. This role will work closely with senior leadership to analyze business performance, develop strategic plans, and implement operational improvements. This work can range from small, simple efforts to large, cross-functional initiatives and will combine thought leadership, stakeholder and change management, and hands on implementation. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to build relationships, identify and seize opportunities that will “move the needle”, and to seamlessly shift from strategic planning to pragmatic execution of work.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a senior member of the Innovation Team, participate in the development of an annual budget and departmental strategy where it intersects with your portfolio of work
- Actively contribute to and maintain a culture of servant leadership, psychological safety, experimentation, and authentic communication
- Develop and maintain relationships across the business to enhance many of the job responsibilities listed below
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions and operational plans
- Leverage a continuous improvement mindset to identify innovation opportunities that drive efficiencies, reduce costs, or enable new capabilities
- Develop and implement operational plans to support strategic initiatives, from initial assessment through recommendation and implementation, establish metrics required to understand success when applicable
- Support change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and tools
- Act as a functional resource for other team members, providing guidance and deploying influence, authority, and position to eliminate obstacles in their path
- Prepare and deliver presentations for senior leadership related to your portfolio of work
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 4-7 years of experience in strategy, operations, management consulting, or related field.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with limited established structure
- Experience executing complex strategic and operational initiatives

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and execution skills
- Strong communications, relationship management and influencing skills
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects at different phases in a self-directed manner
- Ability to capitalize on unstructured, ambiguous business situations including the ability to manage challenges, think creatively and pivot quickly
- Ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving, growth environment

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, a related field, or equivalent work experience; MBA or other advanced degree is preferred but not required.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is generally performed in a typical office environment, with limited exposure to harsh weather conditions, loud internal or external noise, fumes, or significant temperature changes. Minimal, occasional travel may be required.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS: Work can involve lifting and carrying up to 10 - 20 lbs.; frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching; occasional kneeling and stooping; operating
office equipment; periodic driving likely; visual acuity to prepare, read, and organize detailed hard copy and electronic documents; ability to speak and to hear the spoken word in normal face-to-face, telephonic, and web-based business communications.
Willingness to travel on average of +/‐10% of the workweek to accommodate meetings, as well as attend other work-related activities that may be scheduled outside of normal daytime business hours.
