The Visual Commerce team focuses on enhancing the customer experience by developing various visualizers and inspirations. These tools assist customers in decision-making by providing better product visualization. Job Summary

The main objective of this role is to develop Computer Vision models that drive our data science initiatives. With a solid foundation in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics, you will play a crucial role in improving customer experiences. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of areas, including, but not limited to, computer vision and generative deep learning challenges.

  • A Data Scientist solves complex problems that do not yet have solutions in the research. Therefore, the individual in this role must be an expert in his/her field and confident in interacting and proposing solutions to the Team. This role should be able to come up with out-of-the-box solutions for complex retail challenges using computer vision techniques.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Utilize machine learning technologies such as Python, Pyspark, TensorFlow, and PyTorch to develop, and implement high-performance, scalable applications for enterprise level visualizers and computer vision projects.

  • Develop and implement computer vision algorithms and models to solve complex business problems, such as object detection, image classification, depth estimation, Generative AI and image segmentation.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation of algorithms and models, including documentation of model performance and validation.

  • Maintains expert-level knowledge on industry trends, emerging technologies, and new methodologies and applies it to projects and to guide team members

  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in computer vision and machine learning and apply this knowledge to improve our products and processes.

  • Asks the right questions to understand the problem; validates understanding with Stakeholder or Manager

  • Should be able to train the deep learning models after data preparation, validate the model, deploy the model to cloud environment, do performance tuning and monitor the model inference.

  • Leverages deep understanding of statistical techniques and tools to analyze data according to the project plan; communicates with stakeholders to provide updates and manage scope

  • Prepares final recommendations, ensuring solutions are best-in-class, implementable and scalable in the business

  • Develop projects with full adherence to enterprise project management practices by participating in formal and informal training

  • Maintains knowledge of techniques, technology, industry trends, best practices, and emerging methodologies

Years of Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in python,deep learning and computer vision Datascience.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data or Information Science, or related quantitative analytic field (or equivalent work experience in a related field) AND 2 years of experience in analytics AND 1 year of programming experience (Python, Java, Scala, Rust, etc.) OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data or Information Science, or related quantitative analytic field AND 1 year of experience in analytics
  • OR Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data or Information Science, or related quantitative analytic field
  • Knowledge of SQL and various statistical modeling or machine learning techniques


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data or Information Science, or related quantitative analytic field
  • Experience in performing predictive analytics in a large scale enterprise
  • 2 years of experience in data science or advanced analytics in industry
  • SQL Experience
  • Programming experience (Python, Java, Scala, Rust, etc.)
  • Experience using multiple data systems and sources (such as Hadoop, Spark, Aster, Teradata, etc.)
