In Finance, we tie together all the financial activity across the bank through analysis, insight and reporting. It’s our job to manage the bank’s balance sheet, report on our financial performance, and make sure we’re making the right decisions for our customers.

Our world-class graduate programme
As a graduate trainee in Finance, we’ll equip you with the knowledge, skills and experiences you’ll need to make a significant impact through your work.
Over the course of this three-year programme, you will have 4 x 9 month placements (3 of which will be in London with one of your placements being in Manchester) and you can expect to:

Work with respected industry leaders to develop a comprehensive understanding of the financial services sector, products and operations

Quickly deepen your analytical skills and see how we use data to make decisions to improve what matters most to our customers

Be involved in core finance activities, such as managing the bank’s balance sheet, reporting on financial performance, and developing a long-term financial strategy
-
Nurture excellent relationship management skills by managing multiple stakeholders from a range of businesses
-
Develop your ability to negotiate and challenge with purpose to make clear decisions and deliver good customer outcomes
-
Tailor your experience by studying towards a professional accountancy qualification with ICAS
At the end of the programme, you’ll be well positioned to apply for finance roles in Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, Finance Partnering and Business Intelligence teams, and across our control functions.
How you’ll benefit
We’ll reward you with a starting salary of £35,000. If you join a team based in London, you’ll be awarded an additional allowance of £3,450 a year. And on top of your salary, you’ll also have access to our flexible benefits package.
