What impact you’ll make

Responsible for project operations and programs support including standardization, quality management, document management, methods creation and maintenance, process improvement and tools for the project management function. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area (CAPEX) or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Has significant input into priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.

Job Description

What impact you’ll make

  • Help establish KPIs to ensure the capital investment structure proposed to procure M&E is the best use of capital for that M&E; promote investment strategies (i.e., lease v. buy) that provides optimal benefits for that M&E after considering install complexity, technology, proposed usage and end of life value.  Drive business updates for those KPIs and recommend pivots/stops/starts of exisitng and additional proposals for CAPEX purchases.
  • Own CAPEX models, including business case template, ensuring consistent measurements with Hoshin expectations, as well as ease of use and modeling of all types of CAPEX purposes.  Work with GEARS and ERPs to optimize systems interactions.
  • Remove organizational/system barriers that negatively impact current cost of capital due to different ERPs, Fixed Asset COEs, O&M platforms, functions, investment tools, and local disposition decisions
  • Own and update a 3-5 year strategic budget process for capital investments, shifting the focus from 1 year to multi-year view connected with future strategic direction of the business including inputs from Product Line, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Strategy, Services and Regional teams
  • Continue to define and revise standard processes across Gas Power for requesting, managing, refinancing, buying out, and ending operational lease schedules

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited university or college
  • Major experience in engineering, product management, sourcing and/or manufacturing teams 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to build/maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, work collaboratively horizontally across GE including listening and problem-solving around complex strategies and initiatives
  • Significant relevant experience in gas turbine or equivalent technology
  • Strong technical and financial acumen associated with the procurement and redeployment of assets globally
  • General understanding of machinery capabilities and GE’s manufacturing/service applications
  • Demonstrated expertise designing and deploying technology solutions
  • Experience in global project management.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%, as required

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $114,100.00 and $190,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
