Caterpillar of Australia is looking for a Surface Mining Sales Representative to join the team in Perth.

Caterpillar's Resource Industries Sales, Services and Technology Division is responsible for all aspects of the go-to-market strategy for surface and underground mining. We are focused on growth and delivering the ultimate customer experience through advanced technologies including automation and electrification, and custom integrated site solutions including mining productivity solutions, product health solutions, job site solutions, and safety services. Alongside our world-class dealer network, we provide solutions that help our global customers to increase productivity and lower costs safely and sustainably.
At Caterpillar, the Surface Mining Sales Representative role is critical to executing our go-to-market strategy. This is an exciting role that is highly visible with touchpoints throughout the Caterpillar and dealer organisations, and provides an excellent stepping stone to other career opportunities.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Provide commercial, marketing & sales support for the assigned territory.
Understand and sell the value of Caterpillar product - machines, technology, services.
Meet annual business plan targets.
Support dealers in developing comprehensive deal strategies.
Develop strategies for growth for each assigned dealer.
Measure & improve dealer value selling capabilities.
Required Skills Include:
Engineering Degree, Business Degree, equivalent Diploma or related work experience.
You will be a self-starter capable of working across many levels of the dealer and Caterpillar.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy and a focus on safety and quality.
Desirable:
Prior experience working with dealers and customers on machine sales issues.
Demonstrated experience in large commercial deal management.
Mining industry and product knowledge.
Project management experience.
