First Entertainment is hiring a Network & Cloud Engineer to join our Information Technology team.   The Network & Cloud Engineer is responsible for planning, deployment, security, and monitoring of the organization’s network infrastructure. The Network & Cloud Engineer act as a primary resource for routing/switching hardware, firewalls, wireless networks, backup solutions, disaster recovery/redundancy, system monitoring, and information security related tasks.
 
In partnership with NOC/SOC, the Network & Cloud Engineer oversees the monitoring of server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, vulnerability scans and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity.
 
The is a full-time, hybrid position, reporting to the Manager, Network & Cloud Engineering and based in Hollywood, CA.  The targeted pay in California is between $93,000 to $120,000.
 
Responsibilities
 
·         Manage all voice and data network devices to ensure appropriate function, security and reliability (availability).
·         Participate in the implementation of network/cloud systems.
·         Analyze network activity and network problems to discover and prevent systematic errors. Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network problems.
·         Recommend network design changes/enhancements for improved systems availability and performance.
·         Research, analyze and recommend the implementation of software or hardware changes to rectify any network deficiencies or to enhance network performance.
·         Analyze facilities bandwidth requirements and system inter-dependencies.
·         Develop capacity planning models.
·         Work in partnership with Information Security (Risk) to manage network security audits and conduct remediation.
·         Ensure planned testing activities are performed, and technical criteria are met.
·         Create and maintain documentation of critical on-premises, cloud-based systems, and the DR environment and network/data flow diagrams.
·         Work closely with the Senior Network & Cloud Engineer to assure software licensing compliance.
·         Maintain the data center’s cable plant, power systems and fire suppression systems.
·         Keep abreast of new technologies and make recommendations to adopt when applicable
·         Keep the manager updated and informed of area activities and significant problems, progress toward established goals and objectives.
·         Manage the CU’s technology vendors to ensure licenses and support documentation is up to date.
·         Assist with system resource allocation and IT Helpdesk tickets as needed.
·         Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
 
·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education required.
·         Network certification from Cisco, Microsoft, Fortinet, IBM, is a plus.
·         A minimum of 4 years as a network engineer on a complex, wide-area network.
·         Stellar proficiency in Microsoft Server platforms, Windows Server (2016+, Active Directory, Group Policies, VMWare.
·         Thorough knowledge of M365, Okta and Azure platforms
·         In-depth knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and Virtual Machine Manager.
·         Thorough understanding of Internet Protocols, firewalls, static IP addressing schemes, and DNS.
·         In-depth knowledge of server hardware, routing and switching equipment (Cisco IOS), and interconnecting cabling.
·         Experience with SDWAN solutions, primary Fortinet but other okay.
·         Ability to travel to our disaster site(s) if needed.
·         Strong communication, multi-tasking, problem-solving, organizational, attention to details skills.
·         Expert knowledge of how to use a personal computer and MS Office products on a daily basis (Word, Excel, Outlook)
