Intermediate Test Analyst

What does a successful Intermediate Test Analyst do at Fiserv?

As an Intermediate Test Analyst at Fiserv, you will support the delivery of Digital and Mobile Banking solutions for clients in international markets by executing testing across application changes and releases. You will work closely with development teams and scrum teams to validate requirements, identify quality risks, and help deliver reliable solutions that meet acceptance criteria and release expectations

You will be required to respond to occasional requests for additional off-hour work in the event of an emergency client incident or critical business need.

What you'll do:

  • Understand, communicate, and execute the scope of testing required to support project objectives and business capabilities
  • Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and testing artifacts across the software development life cycle
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, backward compatibility, merge, and patch testing for Digital and Mobile Banking solutions
  • Plan and execute integration testing with third-party systems and validate end-to-end workflows across dependent platforms
  • Test framework upgrade and modernization initiatives, including mobile software development kit (SDK) implementations and upgrades
  • Document, validate, triage, and retest defects, and analyze root causes to identify trends and support process improvements
  • Partner with scrum teams, developers, and client stakeholders to manage quality risks, support release readiness, and resolve testing issues
  • Apply context-driven testing practices, critical thinking, and appropriate automation approaches within the overall quality strategy

What you'll need to have:

  • 4+ years of hands on experience in software testing with proven experience in test planning, execution and reporting.
  • 1+ years’ experience in Mobile Banking or equivalent industry experience
  • Capable technical tester proficient in API Testing and the use of tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Fiddler, Charles or similar
  • Comfortable with testing Native Mobile Applications with general understanding of mobile testing techniques, challenges and market insights
  • Good understanding of various testing techniques and how to apply these given the context of the project or environment that you are testing in
  • Demonstrate your ability to plan and execute Integration Testing with 3rd party systems
  • Experience with testing projects related to Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Migration
  • Solid defect tracking and management experience with ability to implement and run Programme level Defect Triage between a client and multiple project/scrum teams
