The Role
The Senior Marketing Manager (m/f/d) will be a key contributor to the overarching goal of positioning eBay as a leading market place for parts & accessories (P&A). The role will manage diverse marketing activities in Germany incl. Social, PR, Partnerships, ATL, Onsite, Performance, working closely with specialists for the different channels.
We are seeking a marketing professional who is passionate about developing cut-through brand narratives, creating integrated campaigns and driving bold and distinctive creative work that resonates with this very unique community. Working with the broader marketing team and our agency partners, a key objective of the role will be to engage with our audience in credible ways, whilst leaning into continuous alignment for sharing and learning with eBay US and UK.
Through a collaborative working approach, this role will pull cross-functional teams together to deliver marketing strategy, briefs and campaigns, ensuring eBay is top of mind for the German audience. Driving creative excellence, working across the full marketing mix, all with the goal to drive both new customer acquisition and retention by delivering key messages that resonate with our target audience.

Own the development and refinement of eBay’s P&A marketing strategy in Germany by building on customer insights and eBay’s differentiating strengths
Define the consumer-facing communications positioning and create impactful recommendations based on consumer insights and market research
Craft consumer insight driven briefs and work closely with agency partners to deliver bold, distinctive, and coherent creative concepts and assets with a ‘Customer First’ mentality as well as strong media plans.
Coordinate the creation and development of digital campaigns and initiatives including an influencer program and best-in-class social media marketing.
Develop locally relevant activations via local events, sponsorships, marketing stunts and marketing partnerships
Align creative and media plans to maximise return on investment and innovation
Work closely with the P&A Business Unit as well as with the Social, PR, Brand, Retail, Onsite, Content, Performance and Trading Teams to ensure maximum integration and crafting a connected experience for our customers
Drive measurement framework, report on campaign performance and drive forward takeaways to consistently improve KPIs
Partner with the Customer Insights Team to deliver P&A marketing research needs
Deliver continuous efficient budget management
Passionate about marketing and a good understanding of what drives car owners
Experience in the creation and implementation of marketing narratives and integrated campaigns that drive consideration, return on investment and best in class creative.
Consumer-obsessed and passionate about delivering strategies that are authentic, credible and inspiring
Strong experience of briefing in and managing projects across internal departments and external agencies
Knows how to scrutinize and challenge media plans for maximum efficiency
Strong expertise in developing and driving Social Media strategies and campaigns
Experience in budget management
Experience in reporting on metrics, insights and adapting plans, plus the ability to work closely with data / understand the commercial side of the business
Ability to exert influence at different levels within a matrix organisation and build relationships with a wide range of partners.
