Our internships are rooted in individual growth, professional development, business exposure and project ownership. Interns primarily spend their time focused on their assigned area of the business. Throughout the summer, intern program managers will host a variety of development focused activities to enhance professional development, provide exposure to all aspects of our business, and engagement events with fellow interns.

Overview
The Market Development Intern will support the Market Development team with planning, coordination, and execution of initiatives tied to new market openings and post-open support. This internship offers hands-on exposure to cross-functional project work and provides an opportunity to learn how market strategy is brought to life across the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Support project plans by tracking milestones, timelines, and task completion across market development initiatives

• Assist with execution related to new market openings, including grand opening planning or post-open support activities

• Help organize, analyze, and summarize information related to new market strategy and performance

• Create presentations and materials that communicate market plans, insights, and updates to internal teams

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand how different teams contribute to market launches

• Participate in an intern project that ties directly to day-to-day work and is presented at the end of the internship

• Travel with the team as needed to support market activities and gain field exposure

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student (rising junior or senior preferred)

• Prior work experience; this should not be your first professional role

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working through change and ambiguity

• Coachable and open to feedback, with a willingness to jump in and learn

• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills; analytical or business coursework is a plus

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
