MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Specifically, you will be accountable and responsible for taking appropriate action with respect to the Company’s and MUFG Securities EMEA plc/Technology/Technology Innovation Management.
As the Front Office & Risk BA Team lead you will be responsible for:
• Stakeholder management across Risk and Front Office for ensuring delivery success across the Change portfolio but also acting as a representative and key partner for the business for TEC in a wider capacity.
• Act as a close partner to lead the Risk portfolio with Change and business leads, actively challenging stakeholders, securing optimal resourcing through forward planning. Challenging project deliveries and understanding the wider impact to Technology.
• Ensure leadership of the Risk team, managing both consultants and permanent members of staff. This includes proactive management of consultants ensuring the team are clear on deliverables and supporting the team with problem solving, raising any issues in a timely manner.
• Management of hiring appropriate resources, contract renewals and resource governance. This includes ensuring consultants are also actively meeting SLAs. Provide MI/ KPIs for your BA pillar.
• Supporting both Project Managers and business partners through SME and problem skills. Acting as an advisor on appropriate TEC solutions with a solid understanding of the vendor landscape.
• Proactively engage with the CHG project portfolio manager to ensure that Risk initiatives are resourced with staff having the appropriate skillsets ensuring the right people are in the right roles with a strong focus on building future capabilities.

• The lead will provide subject matter expertise and knowledge on Risk processes and systems to team members and the Technology department, and act as a contact point for Risk stakeholders when seeking TEC input on initiatives or serious issues.
• Ability to own problem solving for the team and the ability to resolve complex issues with resources and Senior stakeholders independently rather than just escalating these to the project and line management.
• A strong proactive approach with Senior technology management communications and relationships, being able to deliver concise information to allow accurate and informed decision making. The individual should be a trusted advisor of Technology management as well as Senior business stakeholders
• Providing subject matter expertise to support TEC initiatives, as required e.g. presenting solutions to other parts of the organisation.
• Ownership of Risks, Issues and Dependencies across resources and programme of work for Risk and ensuring proactive actions are taken to ensure BA resourcing does not result in escalations.
The role also requires the Team Lead to work as a Business Analyst and lead across challenging and complex projects for respective stakeholders. This includes:
• Performing requirements gathering and compiling formal Business Requirements and Functional Specification documents.
• Covering all aspects of Business Analyst engagement throughout the Project Development lifecycle including but not limited to:
o Formulating and presenting proposed solutions to the business users. This may incorporate illustrative calculations using production data.
o Formulating testing approaches and compiling test plans and test cases.
o Performing system/integration testing and supporting business users with user acceptance testing.
o Compiling and presenting test results.
o Completing project/work-stream status reports.
o Escalating issues/risks to project/line management.
People
You will manage the following matters, appropriate for above departments, including:

[accountable] for ensuring that all staff in your remit are fully trained and understand what is required of them in order to do their jobs effectively, including ensuring that job descriptions, objectives/personal development and performance reviews are provided for all staff at least once a year in accordance with Human Resources requirements, continually monitoring their competency in order to meet the requirements of the relevant regulator’s training and competency regime, handling appropriately any grievance or disciplinary issues; and
[accountable] for ensuring that any responsibilities that you have delegated to other staff, including those in respect of regulatory obligations (where applicable), are appropriately apportioned and controlled. Ensure that the staff in question have a clear understanding of these duties so as to ensure that the business and affairs of the function can be adequately monitored and controlled
Relationship with other functions and stakeholders
Maintain and enhance good working relationships with stakeholders, across the region and globally to share best practices, provide support and develop effective local policies and procedures appropriate to the Company, and working in support of the One MUFG and overall Group strategy.
Performance and Duties
The role holder will be assessed in accordance with their employing entity’s performance framework and process with relevant input obtained from the dual hatting entity as relevant.
As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and emended in consultation with the role holder. The role holder will carry out other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role as requested by their line manager or Department Head.
Managing conflicts of interest/dual hat status (If Applicable)
The role holder will have responsibilities for both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.
The role holder will be required to perform their duties and responsibilities on an entity neutral basis, without favour.
The role holder is required to follow regulatory requirements applicable to ensure each business is appropriately supported and to maintain the legal entity integrity of each of MUFG Bank and MUS.
Working terms are dictated by functional mandates, the terms of the Dual-Hat Arrangement Agreement in place between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc and any other relevant agreements entered into between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.
The role holder will have responsibility for identifying and resolving where there may be a difference or conflict in needs between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc, escalating to their manager where required.
