Analog Devices Inc. is a world leader in the area of high-speed mixed-signal signal processing circuits. The Advanced Data-converter Platforms Group (ADG) team has an opening for a product applications engineer. This group develops narrow/wideband/ultra-wideband TRx /ADC/DAC products for aerospace, defense, instrumentation and communication applications.
As part of the Aerospace and Defence marketplace, Product Applications Engineers are exposed to some of the most advanced and experimental use cases available in the Radio Frequency domain. Joining this team will require capabilities in handling both the most technical aspects of developing custom applications, as well as in dealing with the soft skills required for advanced customer support. In particular, this team is experimenting with broadening the support models which have been in place since Analog Devices first entered the marketplace over 50 years ago.
In this position you will work directly with software engineering, product engineering, production test, marketing, sales, and field applications engineers to enable customers to move fast from evaluation to prototyping with narrow/wideband TRx/ADC/DAC based designs, ensure a positive customer experience and win new design-ins.
Applications teams are very customer focused group and work very closely with customers and Marketing department will be expected over time to help in the definition of future products.
In summary, this position will require applicants to be equally comfortable in a lab setting as they are with talking to boards of directors. Handling the leading edge in Software Defined Radio applications means dealing both with the technicalities of experimental use cases, as well as pushing the boundaries of how modern customers find their technical support.
