As the ID1 New Product Introduction manager (NPI) you are a member of Front End Manufacturing within Micron Technology, Inc. You will be responsible for driving Micron benchmark performance through network partnerships in product portfolio, program, and project management.

Your primary objective is to ensure all products introduced into our newest manufacturing facility meet our program plans with respect to yield, quality, cost and output.  This covers alpha transfer directly from the technology development team, all derivative designs, and transfers to beta sites.  You will organize, hire and lead a team of program managers focused on enabling NPI yield, cost, quality, and sustainability.  You will collaborate closely with TD, product business units, quality teams and central operations. This position will require global alignment and some domestic and international travel will be required.

In this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as primary point of contact for ID-1 NPI in corporate forums and projects.
  • Collaborate with BU, TPG, GQ, OPS, and other teams in Product Portfolio introduction discussions.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to avoid or mitigate operations-related risks and issues.
  • Produce and publish a build plan to help guide engineering team execution.
  • Develop and report performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to mature NPI business processes or tools, Drive consensus around the need for change and drive project through to completion.
  • Partner with all MFG sites to gather and fan out NPI BKMs.
  • Plan, hire, train and develop the ID-1 NPI program management team

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related fields. 3+ years of experience in any role associated with delivering new products to market
  • Possess a deep understanding of Semiconductor technology introduction, product qualification, and project management
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team (3+ years)
  • Experience coordinating cross functional teams with indirect accountability
  • Knowledge of Fab, test, and reliability operations
  • Must be able to instill a department culture within each team member in-line with the company core values.
  • Must be an excellent communicator (verbal and written)
