About the Department
Job Summary
Responsibilities
Provides comprehensive care to both outpatients and inpatients within Gastroenterology practices, working within the Practice Guideline.
Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, using advanced clinical skills to manage a caseload of patients as an independent healthcare provider.
Conducts assessment, diagnosis, initiation of delegated medical treatments, independent nursing interventions and evaluation of care, in addition to certain diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures.
Provides a model of care that is shaped by theory, expanded by science, research and reflective practice, and is identified by a holistic and comprehensive approach to the patients.
Develops diagnostic strategies and therapeutic interventions needed to achieve the goals and outcomes of the patient’s plan of care.
Evaluates goals and outcomes taking into account the benefits verses burden, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness for the patient, family and the organization.
Performs other related work as needed.
