JOB OVERVIEW
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be an integral member of the Container Orchestration Platform Engineering team (COP), helping the organization transform into a truly modern cloud-native mode of operation. The goal of COP team is to reduce friction in the delivery process and improve developer experience. Technical prowess, pragmatic strategic understanding, and ability to make compromises working with the stakeholders are the 3 pillars of this job.
The Senior Platform Engineer will be working closely with the Sr Manager of Platform Engineering, COP Architect, COP Technical Product Owner (TPO), and COP Tech Lead to ensure sound technical direction.
The Senior Platform Engineer will be expected to provide guidance on DevOps practices and tools as well as Azure cloud resources. In addition, this position will mentor team mates and serve as an escalation point for the COP team and the COP platform.
