The Technical Specialist at nora systems, Inc. is responsible for providing technical support to the sales staff and customers to ensure effective installations, which are necessary to maintain the continued success and reputation of nora by Interface.   

Primary areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to):
•    Supervision at the start of major projects, including demonstration of proper installation techniques for national accounts.
•    Attend pre-construction and pre-installation meetings as required to ensure proper sub-floor specification and preparation.
•    Assess skill level of installers to determine eligibility for approved status.
•    Inspection of product, installation and/or maintenance related complaints; provide required documentation, reports, pictures and correspondence and propose solutions as applicable for discussion with Manager.  
•    Assist in writing/updating technical literature, as required.
•    In close cooperation with the sales staff, provide technical support, installation mock-ups, hot/cold weld samples and mock-up sample special requests.
•    Train employees and Agents in proper handling of complaints.
•    Provide reports on major complaints of our competitor products, including vinyl, VCT, VLT and linoleum.
•    Install test floors and/or replace, if necessary.
•    Stay within the approved travel and expense budget (additional costs must be approved by the. Manager, Technical Operations).
•    Conduct training in the training Academy as needed.  
•    Provide presentations and demonstrations at the annual AMS Sales Meeting and other occasions as requested. 

Requirements/Experience
•    4+ years of experience working with resilient flooring, including installation. 
•    Experience with mitigation systems and floor preparation (including patches and self-levelers) a plus
•    Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office suite  and ability to use company provided IT tools such as iPhone, iPad, laptop, etc.
•    Ability to travel 60-70% domestically, with occasional international travel and overnight/weekend travel as required
•    Residence in Region required
