JOB SUMMARY
Highly driven and people-centered HRBP Senior Officer / Assistant Manager to join our Human Resources team. This role functions as a strategic HR partner and internal HR consultant, supporting business in building a high-performing and engaged workforce. A dual role—balancing strategic HR initiatives with hands-on operational responsibilities—to support organizational effectiveness, employee experience, and HR excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
· Support HRBP Manager to partner with local operations leaders to ensure workforce plans support current and future business goals.
· Supporting talent development, career planning, training needs identification.
· Administer effective Performance Management.
· Coach managers on employee relations matters, disciplinary issues, and conflict resolution.
· End-to-end management of disciplinary cases inclusive of site related hotline and compliance cases.
· Conduct investigations, prepare case reports, and manage Domestic Inquiry (DI) processes.
· Administer the Show Cause letters, DI notices, warnings, and termination documentation.
· Advise and coach managers on leadership, change management, and people practices.
· Conduct engagement and sensing sessions ie Tea-talk, skip level meeting.
· Leverage on data analytics to identified root cause and work on the solution with operation and business team.
· Support plant-wide engagement event
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
· Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
· Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
· Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company’s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
· Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
· Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
· Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
· Strong and convincing communication skills.
· Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
· Minimum 5 - 7 years of HR generalist experience, with exposure to multiple HR functions & hygiene including total rewards, performance management, employee/industrial relations, and organizational development etc.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
· Ability to influence and build trusting partnerships with people leaders.
· Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and HR best practices.
· Able to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic environment.
· Skill in leveraging data analytics and AI technology is an added advantage.
