Job Description Summary

The Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring our business can efficiently source raw materials, manufacture purchased products, store active inventory, and transport finished shipments to consumers. The Manager, Supply Chain reviews pertinent data and enacts plans that ensure production remains timely and makes improvements to the supply chain system when efficiency can be increased, or disruptions can be minimized or eliminated. In addition, the Manager, Supply Chain will work to promote top-notch performance from workers and lower the overall costs of items used in production projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand
  • Manages activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, controlling inventory, warehousing, or receiving
  • Selects transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution
  • Analyzes logistics data to improve the supply chain deliverables
  • Negotiates business relationships to improve our Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Communicates with suppliers and distributors to increase our market position
  • Defines performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality
  • Collaborates with sales, manufacturing, and customer service teams to implement new or improved supply chain processes to improve efficiency and/or performance
  • Determines primary supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and suggests solutions for process improvements, identifies process bottlenecks, and implements solutions in a timely manner
  • Examines existing procedures to identify opportunities for streamlining activities to better meet our material supply requirements, our equipment production timelines, and our distribution deadlines
  • Builds and maintains good relationships with vendors and works with the finance, sales, and manufacturing teams to determine the best vendors and distributors
  • Manages and oversees the activities of the Procurement Managers, Shipping & Receiving team members, Parts Assistants and Inventory Control.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree in Business or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of working experience as a Supply Chain Manager
  • Proven experience with supply chain management software (such as SAP MM, AP Modules, SAP Plant Maintenance, etc.)
  • Clear understanding of the supply change management’s impact on the company success
  • Strong problem-solving, priority-setting, facilitation, analytical and collaboration skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinker
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or similar relevant field preferred

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job.  Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.  All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $95,530.00 - 131,354.30
