Job Description
Your Team
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, the Labourer performs comprehensive housekeeping duties on the interior and exterior of homes to ensure home is clean and presentable at all times, the construction site is tidy and safe, and clear of debris and hazards.
Your Key Deliverables
Collect and dispose of debris at construction sites complying with waste recycling programs
Performs scheduled cleaning activities in units under construction
Set up heat and hoarding, as required
Assist team members in miscellaneous tasks, if needed
Ensure any excess materials are moved to the next site for use and the Site Manager is notified of the material count
Ensure garbage collection bins are used efficiently
Inform and report on Site Management Team on site conditions
Report any onsite safety concerns to immediate supervisor
Participate in safety inspection programs and training
Develop and build working relationship with managers, construction team and trades
Must Haves
1+ year of construction experience and/or vocational training
Ability to work in a fast pace and physically demanding environment
Knowledge of multiple trades functions and use of tools
Effective customer service and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
The position will include the following physical requirements:
Walk uneven terrain
Climb stairs
Lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds
Ability to hear for safety reasons- hearing aids are acceptable
Vision- 20/20 and is acceptable if they are wearing glasses or contacts
Crawl- maneuver through difficult areas
Kneel down
Climb up and down a ladder
Ability to perform physical duties, to take directions, and to work in a team environment
Ability to work at various locations
