Job Description
Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years in data-related roles with strong exposure to data governance and management.
- Proven experience working with data governance tools such as Datahub.io, Zeenea, Collibra (preferred).
- Hands-on experience in Agile methodologies and collaborative environments.
- Proven track record in implementing data governance programs in complex, global environments.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data privacy, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with local and international data regulations and internal governance rules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for data-related issues within a business domain.
- Manage and maintain metadata repositories, data catalogs, and data lineage tracking.
- Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and engineering teams to enforce access control and data security.
- Drive adoption and integration of data governance tools (e.g., Datahub.io, Zeenea, Collibra).
- Monitor and report on data quality, policy adherence, and governance KPIs.
- Provide guidance and training to teams on data governance best practices.
- Support Agile delivery by embedding governance principles into data projects and workflows.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure data compliance and usability.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across systems and processes.
- Coordinate with data stewards, analysts, and IT teams to resolve data discrepancies.
- Document business rules and data definitions to support governance and compliance.
- Support data lifecycle management, including creation, updates, and archiving.
- Participate in data governance committees and contribute to policy development.
- Train and support end-users on data standards and tools.
- Monitor KPIs and dashboards to identify anomalies and improvement opportunities.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in SQL, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services: BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage (GCS).
- Strong understanding of Access Management and security principles.
- Programming proficiency in Java, Python, Node.js, TypeScript.
- Familiarity with metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment and influence governance adoption.
