JOB DESCRIPTION:

This is a Spring Internship Opportunity. Applications are due by November 10th. The forecasted start date is January 6th.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervised and trained by Evaluation Scientists
  • Follow Learning Objectives set forth by University’s requirements
  • Create and independently management one side project during the course of internship (including creating work plan, timeline, end deliverables, etc.)
  • Conduct research interviews with diverse stakeholders, including clients, staff, and community organizations.
  • Enter, clean, and manage client data
  • Utilize electronic health records for client recruitment and tracking
  • Analyze secondary data and conduct literature reviews
  • Present data findings to clinical staff and work to ensure clients' are receiving quality care

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 10 to 25 hours per week. Shifts will be 3+ hours each. Working hours are between 9 AM and 8 PM, Mon-Fri.
  • Internship fully remote

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working toward a master’s degree in public health, social work, or related field
  • Interest in gaining research and program evaluation experience
  • Demonstrated history of being able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work with data; detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to commit to 10-25 hours a week

BENEFITS FOR THE STUDENT

Students will have hands on experience interacting with clients. Students will have the opportunity to enhance professional skills of public speaking through presenting data to our clinic and facilitating by leading team meetings. Additionally, students will gain experience and training on Microsoft Excel, while learning to clean and analyze data sets. Students will learn to navigate data visualization and storytelling through creating one pagers and other presentations.

If selected, students will be guided to fulfill a background check and provide five references. This is an unpaid internship.
