Job Summary
The workplace of this position is HP's contract manufacturer (CM) which locate at Batam, Indonesia. This role need to manage CM to ensure material position accurately and timely per HP forecast and backlog order, ensure inventory meet monthly and quarterly target, help CM to establish good communication with HP internal departments, help CM to escalate and resolve material supply issue, logistic issue and customs clearance issue.
Responsibilities
• Manage 3rd party partner to ensure material position accurately and timely according to material request plan, manage product end of life and minimize excess/obsolete cost, support NPI project, manage NPI material availability, ensure no NPI delay caused by material shortage.
• Manages a broad range of moderately complex supply chain processes, such as inventory analysis and planning, demand management, logistics management, and import/export operations.
• Independently executes basic demand and supply matching activities, connecting planning to execution, and identifying issues and their impact.
• Drives the analysis conducted for backlog management.
• Gathers demand data from country, region and account managers to synthesize information using complex analysis, and delivers demand signals to the supply base to contribute to demand forecasting.
• Coordinates with regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain and enhance the current business processes.
• Monitors key metrics, creates relevant reporting metrics, and reviews information for continuous improvement.
• Contributes to priority projects with complex analysis and assists in developing recommendations.
• Communicates requirements and guidelines to the global business unit planning teams.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Bachelor or above degree.
• At least 3 year experience in purchasing or planning role.
• Good English, Indonesian and Chinese skills in speaking, listening and writing.
• Able to deliver operational results and follow-up issues till closure.
• Good negotiation skills and strong problem solving capability.
• Proven experience in purchasing or planning for materials in service or manufacturing environment.
• Able to keep good communication with people in all regions inclusive of USA, Europe and Asia Pacific. These people are both internal HP folks and external partners.
• Good computer skills inclusive of SAP or other ERP system, MS Office applications.
