The opportunity

We’re looking for a Design Program Manager to join and provide immediate impact to the Document Cloud Design team, aligning and driving priority initiatives through the full development cycle. In this role, your primary responsibilities include prioritizing work to meet critical milestones and business objectives, building and maintaining relationships with key cross-functional partners, and continuously evaluating and enhancing design and team processes. In this role, you will collaborate across our full-stack Design team—from Content Strategy to UX Design—as well as across all partners at Adobe, ensuring seamless execution and innovation.

What you'll do

  • Drive the design process: Prioritize and communicate with a diverse set of partners, continuously seeking improvements in process and collaboration, removing obstacles, and accelerating the Design team's progress from ideation to go-to-market.
  • Foster cross-functional partnerships: Collaborate with product managers, engineering leads, researchers, and design leadership to ensure alignment and effective teamwork.
  • Manage project requests & progress: Assess incoming requests, break down complex initiatives into manageable phases, prioritize across multiple initiatives, and meet project milestones while upholding experience quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve issues: Proactively identify obstacles and risks, make recommendations to resolve them, and exercise good judgment in addressing and escalating issues.
  • Improve operational efficiency: Anticipate and address inefficiencies, develop new processes or improvements, and gain consensus from key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Design Program Managers: Work with the broader team within and beyond Document Cloud to keep the Adobe Design team running smoothly, contributing to shared design resources and documentation.

What you’ll bring to the team

You are passionately committed to driving design and business success by way of inclusive design culture, professional growth development, and creative inspiration.

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant design operations and program management experience.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Strong operational skills with the ability to drive initiatives and consensus across organizations and individuals with varying priorities.
  • Proven delivery of complex projects and confidence with project management tooling
  • Demonstrated experience in working with ambiguity, showcasing curiosity and a growth-mindset
  • A genuine passion for user experience and design, and an understanding of the design and engineering process
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to lead in an environment of ambiguity and a diverse range of partners around the globe
  • Ability to operate in an environment of ambiguity with diverse partners and competing priorities
