The Java Full Stack Engineering Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department to drive a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software, and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for client engagement, end to end management and delivery of the technology Book of Work and technology roadmap for the application and dependent/related interfaces.
  • Lead the design and development of enterprise technology platform/applications.
  • Manage overall execution of IT strategy and roadmap for the technology area.
  • Utilize an in-depth understanding of how engineering integrates within technology and commercial awareness.
  • Responsible for training and coaching team members, performance management activities, monitoring quantity and quality of work, and addressing development needs for assigned personnel.
  • Make evaluative judgment based on analyzing information in complicated or unique situations, utilizing multiple sources of information!
  • Impact engineering through overseeing planning, finances / budget, end results and policy setting
  • Negotiate with senior leaders across functions and with external parties, as required!

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Java Full Stack Engineering including UI/UX technologies along with application design experience and experience as a lead/people manager.
  • Experienced practitioner of Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in implementation of Microservices.
  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment.
  • Technology Project Management experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities, and related reporting to identify best practices.
  • Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
  • Proven track record of operational process changes and improvement

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree in computer science, information technology or similar.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$156,160.00 - $234,240.00
