The Reporting Analyst partners closely with merchandising, planning, marketing, operations and e-commerce teams to build reports that tell clear stories that drive actions with high impact for customers. This is an individual contributor role that blends listening, storytelling, and data analysis. This role supports profitable growth both by supporting data-driven decision making across business teams and by automating self-serve reporting to reduce manual effort by users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery, process mapping, and prioritization for reporting products, including customer, sales, inventory, media reports for product, allocation, operations, marketing, and other needs
  • Support financial reporting upgrades and automation
  • Assess feasibility and impact to support prioritization, working with teams to improve both
  • Identify, adapt, and extend existing data and reporting assets as needed to support priority requests
  • Build reports, semantic layers, and dashboards to support priority requests
  • Standardize templates that can serve as dynamic frameworks for business decisions
  • Create reports and tell stories to support store, site, audience testing experiments as needed
  • Drive standards for quality, accuracy, and interpretation across standard, ad hoc, and self-serve reporting
  • Provide guidance on support requests for existing reports, initiating ad hoc training, maintenance, corrective action, or upgrade work as appropriate
  • Drive launch, training, and adoption plans that create clear business impact and a strong feedback loop

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technology field strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years in a similar reporting or BI role (4-6 years preferred), retail experience strongly preferred
  • Strong experience with Fabric, Power BI, Excel, SQL, Azure Databricks/Spark Notebooks, Python, etc.
  • Ability to describe a process, identify key drivers of success, and identify potential unstated needs
  • Empathy and collaboration; interest in succeeding primarily by empowering the great work of others
  • Curiosity, especially about the needs and ways of thinking for users and customers
  • Basic experience with agile development, especially crafting strong user stores and definition of done
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to diagnose quality in existing reports
  • Ability to design quality into process when releasing reports
  • Familiarity with basic ideas of digital marketing and e-commerce reporting
  • Familiarity with key store, site, and audience testing concepts highly desired
  • Ability to manage support and projects with strong prioritization
  • Storytelling skills to translate report findings into clear actions for operating teams

Base Pay Range:

$77,500.00 - $116,300.00

Vera Bradley’s compensation ranges are based on market data and comply with all local, state and federal regulations. Individual pay within the listed range depends on work location, skills, experience, and relevant education. The posted salary reflects base pay only and excludes bonuses, equity, or other incentives, if applicable.
