This role is a 12 month secondment to cover a maternity leave absence within the team.

 

The Global Digital Products & Advanced Analytics team, within the commercial data and technology group (a.k.a Digital Fuel), is driving a fundamental transformation building new, advanced capabilities in customer segmentation, content creation, omni-channel measurement, campaign measurement, channel and data orchestration, marketing decision engines, and much more.  

This role will be accountable for identifying opportunities for growth and innovation, ultimately driving a product vision, strategy, and corresponding roadmap for the Modular Content product to support the organization’s omni-channel transformation. They will need to balance business and customer needs while simultaneously improving the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Modular Content product team to deliver a best-in-class platform to create effective and enable efficient delivery of content.  

The Senior Manager will be accountable for the end-to-end success of the Modular Content product. They will lead product discovery by leveraging data, research, and market analysis, then liaising with stakeholders and working closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) to ensure effective rollout of new features in markets all over the world.

  • Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap:
    • Lead efforts in developing and aligning on a Product vision, strategy and roadmap, with clear OKRs and measurable KPIs
    • Work with a cross-functional team create a prioritized roadmap balancing customer and business needs
    • Understand customer needs better than anyone through a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
       
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Work with colleagues from multi-disciplinary backgrounds (including but not limited to Marketing, Commercial, UX Design, Customer Experience, Medical, Tech and Marketing Operations) to drive and facilitate new ideas from conception through to delivery that benefits GSK’s and the LOCs’ Omnichannel ambitions for content delivery.
    • Maintain high credibility and alignment with stakeholders, acting as the single Point of Accountability to make sure that your product is performing to maintain high levels of satisfaction amongst users
    • Strong community management and change management skills to continuously inform stakeholders about product updates, benefits in order to increase adoption amongst external users and internal users
       
  • Platform Interdependencies:
    • Support in navigating interdependencies with other digital channels and products within the GSK MarTech ecosystem to successfully achieve Omnichannel ambitions.
    • Stay on top of any dependencies with other teams, remove blockers, coordinate with other product teams or stakeholders
    • Align with other product roadmaps to ensure that features are delivered with minimal delays and issues
       
  • Process efficiencies:
    • Work to continuously improve operational efficiency of your global product team, including processes for scaling product enhancements, to promote adoption of your product at GSK

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • You have a BA/BSc degree in any discipline
  • You have led teams that have developed successful software products from concept to adoption
  • You have directly managed product managers/analysts and are passionate about developing people and maintaining high levels of engagement
  • You have experience of working within a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders to manage
  • You have a broad and detailed understanding of product management techniques including customer development, discovery & primary research, lean start-up method and industrialization/scaling-up

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • You’ve defined your own North-star Metric, KPIs sets and run your product teams using OKRs
  • You know how to create and balance a healthy-tension between Product, UX & Design and Engineering
  • You have proven experience in onboarding yourself and getting up to speed quickly on new products
  • You are flexible enough to take on new products and technologies to help deliver your customers jobs to be done quickly
  • You are able to set and manage expectations effectively at all levels of the organization
