Your Role: Special Projects Associate, Beef Sales Support

In the Special Projects Associate for Beef Sales Support role, you will integrate into the Elanco Beef sales team to support current and prospective beef customers, manage Elanco programs and promotions, and assist with customer engagement activities across the Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico region.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide sales support to beef customers, Elanco sales representatives, technical consultants, marketing, and other stakeholders across the TX/OK Panhandle and New Mexico region.

  • Follow up with customers at regular intervals and support customer relationship management activities.

  • Using our CRM platform, enter call notes, maintain contacts, and update account information while collaborating across the organization.

  • Work closely with Elanco sales representatives to support customer events and deliver a One Elanco approach to customers.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of Elanco’s presence at industry conferences, trade shows, customer meetings, and related events.

  • Complete assigned training to increase knowledge of Elanco’s portfolio, processes, and customer programs.

  • Assist with organizing customer appointments, meeting schedules, and travel logistics as needed.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science, Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.

  • Experience: Familiarity with the beef industry through coursework, internships, employment, family operations, or other relevant experiences.

Top 2 Skills:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with customers and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Experience working in the beef, livestock, or animal health industry.

  • Experience using CRM systems to document customer interactions and maintain records.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Experience supporting customer events, trade shows, industry conferences, or sales initiatives.

  • Interest in pursuing a career in agricultural sales, animal health, or customer support.

Additional Information:

  • Travel: Required on a limited basis to support customer meetings, events, and industry conferences.

  • Hours: It is expected that this role will work roughly 20 hours per week.

  • Location: Field based, near Amarillo, Texas. Candidate will focus on the Texas/Oklahoma Panhandles and New Mexico, with majority of time working with vet clinics, end users, and distribution representatives in the area.

Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $20 to $24/hour depending partly on the successful candidate’s qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance).
