Sensata Interns have the unique opportunity to support a focused, actionable approach for an increased and more accurate understanding of customers and their individual needs. The IT Engineering Excellence team works in partnership with the engineering functional areas across the organization to deliver digital capabilities that maximize profitable revenue growth, improve customer and product margins and reduce overall costs to serve customers. Our Intern Program is inclusive to all our US sites and is designed to give each intern a concentrated view of what it is like to be an engineer at Sensata.

Internship projects vary from year to year and are based on current business needs at the time of the internship. Specific details will be provided prior to your start date, but all projects are technical and require a sound understanding of engineering principles.

As an IT- Engineering Business Analyst Intern, possible responsibilities could include: 

 

  • Act as Business Analyst - Support leaders on IT projects designed to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.  Works closely with Project Managers and business to define, determine, analyze, document, and communicate the objectives, business requirements and priorities for engineering information systems and solutions; organize project documentation, including business and functional requirements, process flows, test scripts, project plans and other project artifacts works with application and technical experts on the solution design, implementation, support, maintenance, and enhancement of the information systems.  

  • Work on IT Quality Assurance - Support functional and technical test plans development, scenarios, and cases for testing of applications and systems at various stages of development and implementation; coordinate, execute and report on testing to ensure quality solutions and efficient system performance.  

 

Successful candidates will demonstrate: 

 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate technical information to non-technical stake holders. Strong customer service orientation. 

  • Problem solving and Analytical thinking to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.  

  • Demonstrated leadership experience. Examples include active roles in student or social organization activities, sports, or school or work-related projects  

  • Project management skills  

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data analysis and reporting. 

Requirements: 

  • Must be currently pursuing B.S., M.Eng., or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, etc. from an accredited program 

  • U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident is NOT required for this position, however proper work authorizations will be required.
