The FAS Product & Portfolio Strategy group sits at the intersection of our investment teams, our sales teams, and our external advisor clients, to help advisors build better portfolios and improve outcomes for their clients.
The Senior Investment Analyst role is an excellent fit for applicants who are passionate about investments and the financial markets, who have experience with portfolio analysis and portfolio construction, and who are driven to deliver solutions and insights that advance FAS towards its 2030 vision of being a strategic partner for our clients.
Responsibilities:
Consultatively collaborate with sales teams and senior investment strategists to design and deliver portfolio analyses that effectively build advisors' perception of Vanguard as a sophisticated partner and that support optimal business and client outcomes.
Create proposals, highlight competitive takeout opportunities, and provide expert insights to sales and specialists in support of advisor needs and FAS business objectives.
Develop and maintain awareness of trends in the financial intermediary industry and advisor needs, market and economic themes and events, and the competitive investment landscape.
Contribute to initiatives to enhance portfolio analytics tools and technology to remain relevant, sophisticated, and competitive.
Support the creation of content used to enable sales to effectively position Vanguard's product lineup and thought leadership.
Serve as a department expert on and vendor relationship manager for data systems and analytical tools.
Continue personal development of investment/fund analysis skills and presentation skills. Contribute to presentations on investment topics to internal crew and external clients.
Support the training and development of more junior crew to improve their investment acumen.
Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Three years experience in the Financial Services industry or client services preferred.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Progress towards CFA or CFP preferred.
This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.
