Robotics Principal System Application Engineer
The Robotics End Market Team are advertising a senior Robotics Domain Expert role, with a focus on supporting the growth of the robotics business in China. The End Market team is responsible for expansion of ADI revenue globally in the areas of humanoids, fixed robots, and mobile robots. Due to the nature and size of the potential market and the fast pace in China, a need has been identified for a senior strategic position, focused on identifying and defining breakthrough system level solutions utilizing technologies across multiple ADI internal groups in order to solve the hardest design challenges and influence the trend. Map out competitive solutions and identify technology and/or solution gaps to generate benchmark datasets to promote ADI technology superiority. Generate impactful hardware and software demonstrations of system level solutions to drive customer intimacy and engagements.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Contribute to the design, development, and validation of hardware, software, and embedded systems for advanced robotic platforms, with a focus on humanoid applications. Support the creation and optimization of block diagrams, and system architectures for robotics solutions. Work closely with the industrial vision, motor control, magnetic sensing, connectivity, power, tactile, sensor fusion and AI groups to define breakthrough technologies and solutions to drive deep customer engagements. Build familiarity with competitive solutions and generate data and documentation to clearly outline pros and cons to support promotion and/or improvement of ADI technologies and solutions. Participate in the development of technical training materials and application notes for Field Application Engineers. Stay current on trends in robotics, AI, and sensing technologies, sharing insights to inform team projects and strategy.
