About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity in the Hospital in the Home Unit (HITH) for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high-quality patient centred care.

You will be expected to have experience and confidence in an acute care setting and/or wound care. You will be required to work independently in the community and clinic setting providing acute care with an ability to recognise the limits of your scope and escalate appropriately within the interdisciplinary team.

The purpose of this role is to provide clinical practice in an integrated model of care called Hospital in the Home (HITH) which is designed to prevent hospital admissions and ED avoidance and support shorter length of inpatient stay. This service is delivered across the community and acute interface as a 7-day (8am-8pm) service and incorporates medical/clinical governance, patient and staff safety, and operates within the parameters of the SLHD.

About you:
Are you a skilled and energetic Registered Nurse looking for an exciting opportunity, who possess a passion for person centred care? Do you have at least 2 years’ experience in an acute setting, if so, we would love to hear from you.

You'll be supported by a multidisciplinary team including Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse Educators, a group of Nurse Unit Managers and an Allied Health Medical Team backing you up. All our teams are also fully dedicated to collaborating with you.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2.Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
3. Current NSW Driver's License (Class C or above)
4. Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team
5. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
6. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
7. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads
