We have a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our team working in the brand-new pub based at St. Mary’s Stadium, The Dell. A one-of-a-kind pub with a nod to our heritage.

What is the role?


To assist the Bar Manager in all aspects of running The Dell pub on match days and non-match days, ensuring the pub is a go to for all.
 

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, including managing team and scheduling shifts.

  • Collaborating with the manager to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profits.

  • Ensuring that food and beverage quality and presentation meet high standards by conducting regular taste tests and monitoring customer feedback.

  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

  • Managing inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure efficient operation of the restaurant.

  • Address any issues or complaints raised by customers taking appropriate action to resolve them and pro-actively reducing future complaints.

  • Work closely with other departments within the stadium to ensure smooth operations.

  • Contribute to special events and promotions to drive business during quiet periods.

  • Contribute to creating a positive and professional environment within the team.

Is this you?


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing a busy restaurant or similar establishment.

  • Food Safety Certificate L2 or L3

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire staff.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining exceptionally high standards.

  • Strong Knowledge of food and beverage.

  • Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in restaurant management.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
